John R. Parks, Founder and CEO of O2 Health Lab
John is Founder and CEO of O2 Health Lab, a revolutionary multi-location retail concept that provides recovery, rejuvenation and anti-aging therapies to help the body to look, feel, and perform its youthful best. With over 35 years of experience, John has broad experience as an Entrepreneur and Marketing Executive.
His enthusiasm for recovery and rejuvenation has provided the vision, passion, and funding behind the development of O2 Health Lab, and organic convergence of a world-class team. A life-long athlete, he became a proponent of rejuvenation therapies, having used them to recover his quality of life after a severe illness. O2 Health Lab features an array of natural therapies in an innovative, non-medical environment. These include Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Cryotherapy, Light Therapy, Pulse Electromagnetic Magnetic Field (PEMF) Therapy and other adjunctive treatments.
In previous roles, John was one of the Founders and EVP of International City Racing, a company which owned and operated Endurance Sporting events. In his role, he helped grow a Southern California based Marathon from 3,000 to over 25,000 participants. Prior experience includes Senior VP for Baseline Enterprises, a firm that specialized in the construction of themed restaurants including the House of Blues and Planet Hollywood.
John spent much of his early career on the Agency side, having co-founded Market Evolution, a firm specializing in sports, lifestyle and technology marketing. Projects included working with Professional Surfers on larger sponsorships and JPL/NASA to promote Educational Outreach for space missions nationally. John spent close to a decade as Vice President of Development for M&FM, a national marketing agency specializing in Sports and College Marketing where he headed up national marketing projects for Pepsi, Wolfgang Puck, Saturn, and General Motors. His focus included negotiating and implementing sponsorships and events at Colleges nationally. John began his career working with the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee.
A Southern California native, John has traveled extensively, lived and attended school in Vienna, Austria, and is fluent in German. Born in Pasadena, California, John holds a BS in Business Administration from the USC.
