MBET Business Evolution
Starting in 1999:
A. In 1999 MBET started business growing shellfish starting with red abalone and expanding to all shellfish, (including green, pink and hybrid abalone, sea cucumbers, sea snails, oysters, clams, mussels, limpets, and scallops), most crustaceans, and many other valuable fish and ocean plants and animals. Despite MBET”S Environmentally Beneficial™ process and “organic” quality, the profit margin and thus success of commodity seafood is relatively low. Thus, using George Washington Carver’s philosophy, MBET started R&D using all parts of all plants and animals that MBET not only grows, but many species from around the world. These compounds have been combined to form transformative products.
B. 2008-2017 Environmental and Economic disasters – few aquafarms have survived; innovating before there is a problem is what MBET has labeled “Constant Universal Innovation™” (CUI™), CUI™ involves adjusting, adapting, acclimating, and finally, evolving to solve the start of problems before they become disasters. This has enabled MBET to thrive while other aquafarms (companies) have failed.
- Global warming, pollution, ocean acidification, overconsumption, destruction
- Great Recession
- Mexicali earthquakes
C. Despite the Great Recession of 2008, MBET developed value-added seafood meals, including pizzas, empanadas, and paellas for a major elite market chain. The 2010 Mexicali Earthquake closed all of the border seafood processing plants which never reopened.
D. Over the last 20 years, MBET’s scientists have been researching, vigorously testing and combining different ocean compounds for rejuvenation of aging cells and stimulation of the immune system to kill cancer cells. This technology evolution expanded into skincare products, health supplements, veterinary products, gum and nail products, revolutionary new wound dressings which heal recalcitrant wounds, prevent bedsores and replace the band-aid,, ocean gems, and Precision Light Therapy™ to heal bedsores, diabetic ulcers and Chronic Stress Disorder of Infancy. These are transformative products with no rivals. The value of these products has created profitability to allow the funding of the R&D of all 21 MBET companies and MBET’s environmental projects.
